I love my; Blazers, Portland, cartooning, and very busy art. It was a lot of fun going to the game and seeing people enjoy this poster first hand. Blazers and toons? I’m there!
Sketchy People! I draw people of Portland (and beyond) exactly how I see them. I have my sketchbook and pens at the ready to get some of the citizens that do indeed, Keep Portland Weird! You could be next!
I designed these pins for Nike's Air Max Day. These pins were featured in select cities. Chicago got the Chicago Dog. The taco for L.A. The pigeon, pizza rat, and the Air with the apple all for the Big Apple. The trolly *ding ding* for San Fran. These were such fun.
I partnered with Genentech to create this mural to chart their journey to Class A certification. This was an interactive mural that had magnetic vehicles that charted progress. The paths go from the Oregon Coast up to Mt. Hood. This mural was 10 feet wide by 5 feet high. It was fun to hide Oregon history throughout this mural. You could get lost in it. My favorite element is Clyde Drexler dunking a donut over downtown PDX.
Gulls is a comic I have been drawing for over a decade. It follows Marty Gull and his dreams of becoming a flock-star. His band never seems to take flight but they’ll take any gig they can, even if there’s no one there. Join the flock at: gullscomic.com
Gulls Comic has a musical storyline featuring a trio of Gulls and their band, Flawker Rawker. In real life, I've put together a three-piece band to give the band within the comic an actual sound. That results in music videos. Squawk!
The first single. Doot Da Doot is about Pigeons.
The second single. Bumpkin Gull is about a redneck gull.
The 3rd single. Garbage Day is about a gull's favorite day of the week.
Minus Tide is a single panel gag cartoon. This comic washes up jokes from the flotsam and jetsam. From fish with guns, to octopus sharing crib notes, and surfboards waxing each other - Minus Tide will keep ya on yer toes...and will make sure they get sand in between them.
I've been lucky enough to express my toon style during work hours.
Three posters and a light light box.
If a gull were to play guitar...it'd be a Flying V of course. With an official Gulls Comic axe, I took my goofy gull songs, got a band together, and we recorded a Gulls Comic album. The LP was released on yellow vinyl complete with comics on the back of the LP (shown below). I used my production background to create the decal die-line (bottom image) to adorn the guitar.
