Jack grew up in Newport, Oregon and he loves the rain. He moved to Portland in 1999 and has since based his comic, Sketchy People primarily of the people from the Rose City. Graphic design, production and art are Jack’s main career background disciplines. His degree is in graphic design and he loves to apply that knowledge to all aspects of his creativity.

Jack is also a guitarist and vocalist. His latest musical endeavor is Flawker Rawker. This is a joke band that brings the band from Gulls comic to life. You can jam out to some gull music wherever you stream your music.

Sketchy People, Gulls, and Minus Tide are three very different comics. All three comics have been published. Jack’s also a member of the National Cartoonists Society.
